Privacy & Data Security

Your data and privacy are fundamental to how Chili works. Everything runs locally on your computer, and we use secure infrastructure that prioritizes your privacy.

Your data stays on your computer

Chili runs locally on your machine. Your files, spreadsheets, and data never leave your computer unless you explicitly choose to share them. We cannot access your local files — they remain entirely under your control.

No training, no data sharing

Chili uses AWS Bedrock as its AI infrastructure. This is important because AWS Bedrock has strict privacy guarantees:

  • Your prompts are not used to train AI models. AWS does not use your input or output data to improve their services.
  • Your data is not shared with third parties. AWS processes your requests and immediately discards the data.
  • Enterprise-grade security. AWS Bedrock is designed for businesses that handle sensitive data and complies with strict privacy regulations.

What we collect

We collect only the minimum necessary to provide the Chili service:

  • Account information: Your email address and password (encrypted) to manage your account.
  • Usage data: Token consumption to track your subscription and billing.
  • Payment information: Handled securely by Stripe — we never store your credit card details.

We do not collect or store your prompts, the tools you build, or any data you process with Chili.

In short

Chili is built with privacy as a core principle. Your work stays on your computer, and when AI processing is needed, it goes through AWS Bedrock — a service designed specifically to ensure your data is never used for training and is never shared. You remain in full control.
